Tunesday: Matthew Vaughn Assembles the Perfect Team for Kick-Ass #Tunesday #KickAss

One of the reasons I consider director Matthew Vaughn to be one of contemporary cinema's greatest genre directors is his dogged attention to scoring. With the music for Kick-Ass, Vaughn culled together several composers and had them work off of each other to create the diverse sound of the superhero-comedy.
In the following clip, Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class), Ilan Eshkeri (Layer Cake), John Murphy (28 Days Later), and Marius de Vries (Moulin Rouge) combined their individual talents to shape the movie's key scenes. As you can hear, the style shifts from track to track but the themes stay consistent. An incredibly abnormal method for building a film score.
Bonus: Even Danny Elfman (Men in Black, Batman) joined in on the action too.
