Guardians of the Galaxy props and costumes!

The folks over at Bleeding Cool snapped some shots at of the costumes and props on display at the SDCC for Marvel's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film and were kind enough to share them with the rest of us. The stuff on display included shots of all the weapons used by the protagonists, as well as Star Lord's helmet. We also got a substantial shot at the uniform of an undisclosed character.

Suffice to say, out of all of Marvel's upcoming releases, this is by far the most exciting to me. Marvel's universe building has been commendable up to this point but they've never made an individual film unique and ballsy enough to make a long lasting impression, I think GotG may just be that film with the edge to give Marvel real artistic cred.

GotG will hit theaters next year. It's directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Benicio del Toro.
