From someone's mind to the ears of the always eager Internet, Bartkira takes the expanding iconic cast of The Simpsons and swaps them with the classic characters of Akira.
Some anime and manga nerds might call Bartkira sacrilege, but this massive community project was created purely out of fun by James Harvey who followed up on a Tumblr experiment by Ryan Humphrey. The project blossomed into cooperative revisioning, turning all the pages of Katsuhiro Otomo's manga classic into a Simpson's mash-up. The 768 contributors range from the aspiring and inspired to actual comic book professionals.
