If you’re under the age of 30, it’s very possible you may not be aware of one of the best, and most quotable, action movies ever made: True Romance (1993). It’s understandable. You’re there one night, scanning Netflix or On Demand, and you see a film description that includes “Starring Christian Slater" and you keep on scanning. But don’t let that be an obstacle. First of all, Slater’s actually pretty good in this flick. But the cast also includes: Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Samuel L. Jackson, James Gandolfini, Chris Penn and Tom Sizemore. And each of those actors gives their purest, most uncut awesomeness to the film. And the script? Written by Quentin Tarantino.
It’s the story of a geek in Detroit who loves kung fu, works in a comic book store and gets caught up in a world of organized crime, drugs and violence. Violence especially.
The film is not for the squeamish. There’s even one scene that I, a battle-hardened moviegoer, usually skip because it’s so brutal.
But the script and the actors who deliver the lines are brilliant. Below you’ll find a taste of what’s in store. Thing is, we try to keep AAGG at the PG-13 level, so half the quotes in the film won’t be published here. You’ll just have to check it out yourself. If you’re an AAGG fan, you’ll discover how it’s one of the best films of the past 20 years. And also, you'll find out what a "Drexl" is.

"Marty, you know what we got here? A motherf***ing Charlie Bronson.”
"You can drink beer, can’t ya?"
"I can. But I don’t."
"I can. But I don’t."
"You must have thought it was white-boy day. It ain’t white-boy day, is it?"
"No man. It ain’t white-boy day."
"No man. It ain’t white-boy day."
"There are 17 different things a guy can do when he lies to give himself away. A guy has 17 pantomimes. A woman’s got 20. Guy’s got 17."
"Eliot, do I look like a beautiful blonde with big **** and an *** that tastes like French-vanilla ice cream?"
"No."
"No. Okay then. Why are you telling me all this bullsh*t, huh?"
"No."

And to close out with some vid, here are two of the funniest scenes in the film that deserve more than just pics and quotes. Brad Pitt is only in the movie for about five minutes, but he makes each and every second count. The first is between him and James Gandolfini, pre-Sopranos. And the second is what happens when someone stoned out of their gourd meets a Sicilian death-squad.
