Our culture tends to be a bit much too puritanical. It's ok for television to show 23 deaths in less than ten minutes, but show a nipple and the FCC starts throwing around million dollar fines.
Doesn't make sense. The human body is an amazing thing. Showing it off should happen more often.
I do have one exception to this world view though.
Whether watching a storyline based in the ancient, mystical times of dragons and orcs, or one set in the 24th century cyber-verse, I occasionally am made to grit my teeth.
There are the dudes, running around in the the heaviest obsidian plates available. Or maybe wearing tech comprised of an as yet unknown alloy that can absorb a nuclear blast. But the women? More often than not, traipsing around in what is simply a bra and a g-string.
I am completely enamored with the female form in all its intricate wonders. However, my mind is truly pleased when I see that the women trying to help save the Elven village or alien colony are just as well equipped as the men.
If you hold the same views, I'd highly recommend checking out Armored-Ladies on the Tumblr machine. Below you'll find a sampling of the amazing artwork that's posted there every day.
Enjoy!
